African Fashion

Hello amazing people...........happy fashion Friday

Today I want to share with you some African fashion in Zimbabwe Look up Chena Neni, Soko shoes, Zuva and Cici Fashions. Nothing makes me happier than when I post a picture of something created in Zimbabwe because is just lovely. I think Africa inspires fashion globally I mean we are popular for our bold colors, tribal prints and wild life. The fashion industry is growing in Zimbabwe and I'm happy to be a part of it. 

I believe that Zimbabwe is ripe for growth. We may have teething problems but I see fashion designers like Tapfumanei Munenge, Thembani Mabocha and Phil Marufu rising no matter the economic weather. Today I salute all Zimbabwean Fashion designers keep on going we support you.

Pleated Skirt, YES!

Hello World

You don't need a special occasion to rock a pleated skirt, going for a coffee with your girlfriend or having a busy office day is just special enough to wear one. This green one is one of my favourite pleated skirts lately and I always feel like I’m having a Carrie Bradshaw moment when wearing it. 

In order to wear the skirt in an elegant way you can put on some high heels and wear it with a simple white shirt. On this blog post I show it with a waist belt ideal to defy the curves and give the outfit a little touch of more rocking style. I have to admit I just never thought pleated skirts were for slim girls but I really love this one.

Victorious Monday

In a country where you can hardly find a female 2 piece suit the best thing to do is to get 1 custom made. So I have started this Monday Power Suit Movement and I must say I am enjoying the challenge. Working women dress to impress in Power Suits on Mondays but by Friday we are in anything lol...

Monday is a battle-dress day for working women so why not get a few Power suits made so u know your Monday outfits for a month are sorted. When it comes to grooming 62 percent say that the day they spend the least time on hair-care and applying cosmetics before work so why not slay with the Power suit to cover up for everything else...

Dressing elegantly instantly makes you feel more professional, and be able to take on whatever the day throws at you. A black suit is the easiest suit to put together so you can start with black.

NOTHING CAN SUIT YOU BETTER THAN BLACK.

Stylish Work-wear

Fabulous morning to you readers, I hope you had a great weekend.
Still on my power suit series, the pretty new colour for spring is pink. 
Pastel pink is definitely a colour that needs a place in your closet. This also goes for the gents because a man who wears pink is not just fashion forward but shows that he is comfortable in his own skin and can wear whatever he pleases. Ladies if you feel too girly wearing pink then add a few menswear accents. 

A power suit is often accompanied by the most expensive shirt, tie and shoe combination to give off a dominating, aggressive and intimidating vibe. However my look is a little less serious and rather playful. I really wished I worked for a BIG fashion magazine like Vogue because this outfit would be perfect to wear there. So this is a less intimidating and aggressive version of the power suit.

Today the Power Suit has given way to more stylish and expressive alternatives. I hope you like my version........till next time......THANK YOU FOR READING

Summer Suited

Hello amazing people Today I am featuring this cap sleeved check suit because I have given this old-school look a modern makeover.

On really hot days when I still need to dress business professional, I like to opt for a short sleeved suit. This checked one in particular is great because it is polished, professional and the sleeve length doesn’t take anything away from it. I wouldn’t wear it to an interview or in a court of law, but I am comfortable wearing it in most professional settings. 

This check print suit features a few of those subtle details that make styling it oh so easy. The red gives it a pop of color. Its hot here in Zimbabwe so why not throw away the the long sleeves.

A shopping tip for you this week is try look for short sleeved suits and short sleeved shirts (and ...shave or wax your under arms lol)

Power suits For Summer

Power suits are for Mondays....... Hello amazing people so sorry for being MIA adding my own sunglass line to being a mother and wife has taken up most of my time but I could not wait to share with you this custom made suit I got done by a local super talented designer Tapfumanei Munenge. Pay attention to my sunglasses proudly designed by me.

 The Power Suit is strong, chic and just so hot. Its got masculine elements but still holds a feminine edge. It can easily be mixed and matched to suit any occasion.

Aside from how it looks, a power suit should make you feel confident, successful, and in control. As a result, having it impeccably tailored is an absolute must. A perfect fit helps project confidence and also, frankly, shows that you give a damn. Personally it helps me with my confidence everytime I have a big meeting I wear a suit.

I went for a very simple look this time and played it safe(in Hollywood terms lol) so I hope you like how I put it together.

Maroon Maroon

Hello lovelies! It feels SO good today because its Friday & I love sharing my life/fashion diaries with you guys.
Today on the blog we have my go-to transition pieces for the bi-polar weather lol...Not only is this one of the most simple outfits to throw on, on a Friday but it is cute and super comfortable too! I might be bias about maroon since I’m becoming a big fan of it & its fast becoming my statement color in my wardrobe.

I have been hunting for this LOPEZ top ever since I saw it on IG and could not wait to rock it. The long sleeved one is great for the cold weather.  Today is a pretty cold day here, but the sun is at least shining.
